One of the standout dishes at Bamboo China is the General Tso's Chicken. Praised by patrons like Shawna Jacobs, this dish showcases perfectly crispy chicken enveloped in a balanced and flavorful sauce. The meticulous preparation ensures that each piece is tender and bursting with flavor, distinguishing it from the often overly sweet versions found at other takeout spots. Accompanied by fresh, crisp broccoli and well-cooked fried rice, it creates a symphony of flavors that will have you coming back for more.
Bamboo China's menu reflects a commitment to freshness and quality. For seafood lovers, the Shrimp With Bean Curd and Shrimp With Lobster Sauce are commendable options, beautifully prepared in delicate sauces that enhance rather than overwhelm the natural taste of the shrimp. The shrimp's succulent texture is perfectly complemented by the vibrant carrots and peas.

“ I was on way to USPS on Cayug bc it's open until 7pm. I wanted chinese food on way. Bamboo China came up. I'm hesitant at eating places I don't know but this place had the best General Tsoa chicken. The chicken was crispy on the outside and soft inside. It was covered in just enough sauce. Some places I've had and it was too much jelly. The broccoli was crispy and fresh. The fried rice was cooked to perfection and was filled with egg, pea, carrots, and onion. I definitely recommend this place. And will be coming back. Also the kitchen is wide open which needs to be the standard for some kitchens. Something about watching your food cooked makes it extra good knowing where it was. I'd take picture but I already ate it all it was super fast. I called and was there within 5 min. I paid and waited a minute and it was done. ”
“ Delicious food. Great prices. Special thanks to Joe and his wife for their kind hospitality. I will be visiting again very soon. ”
“ Always order from here for my family. I love the pork fried rice and the spare ribs. The sesame chicken doesn't stay behind, and the owners and staff are super sweet and inviting. I will still choose to come back ”
“ Seriously THE BEST CHINESE RESTAURANT in WNY! I grew up south of Rochester and I've traveled all over the state and I've tried chinese in many of those places. Not one can compare. Literally all of them serve yellow pre-made rice and commercial foods warmed up. This place has a home made taste that leaves you wanting more. I'll keep coming back anytime I'm in the area. ”
“ Definitely order here! I'm from out of town and I stumbled upon this restaurant by accident. I'm not exaggerating when I say this the best Chinese food I've ever had. The pork fried rice was fresh, and tasted like hibachi quality rice. The general tso sauce was delicious, actually spicy and not half corn syrup like other places. I'm actually confused as to why this is so good. Are my local places that bad?? Just eat here and then leave your own review telling me I was right. ”
“ Old favorite place, definitely have memories of the restaurant and the fountain in the corner, the lazy Susan and the smell. Pretty nostalgic to see it still open. ”
“ Ordered take out, that is why no rating on atmosphere. Loved it! Great bean curd dishes. Even asked if I could get bean curd in orange sauce. no problem. They are the best! Super consistency of bean curd. Light and fluffy. I had the orange bean curd . Amazing!!! The fried rice was great. My wife had the Mei Fun with brown curd, she loved it. I loved my orange bean curd. Service was great. Great place!!! ”
“ Been going here for many, many years! This was my first taste of Chinese food, and I've been hooked ever since! Food is excellent and reasonable as well. ”
